Melbourne’s Rail network 2036

Not a fantasy map, but a slightly optimistic prediction of what the network might look like.
Optimistic aspects:
- SRL East, Airport Rail, City Loop Reconfiguration
- Quadruplication to Camberwell
- Melton electrification
- Extension from Werribee to Wyndham Vale
- Consistent stopping patterns for Ringwood express trains
- Different colours for V/Line services
- Showing the actual path of Albury trains ##Pessimistic aspects:
- No Geelong electrification (haven’t heard anything about this in a long time)
- No Clyde extension (desperately needs to be done, but let’s face it)
- No Baxter extension (probably not necessary, and the government has dropped it as a priority)
- No Metro Tunnel 2 (I think it will be done eventually, but not before the SRL opens)
- Still using individual line names
- Frequency of trains still mid
- PTV has changed their name again, because we’re not allowed to stick to a branding for more than a decade
Anything you think is overly optimistic? Overly pessimistic? Things I missed or forgot about?
