Not a fantasy map, but a slightly optimistic prediction of what the network might look like.

Optimistic aspects:

• SRL East, Airport Rail, City Loop Reconfiguration
• Quadruplication to Camberwell
• Melton electrification
• Extension from Werribee to Wyndham Vale
• Consistent stopping patterns for Ringwood express trains
• Different colours for V/Line services
• Showing the actual path of Albury trains ##Pessimistic aspects:
• No Geelong electrification (haven’t heard anything about this in a long time)
• No Clyde extension (desperately needs to be done, but let’s face it)
• No Baxter extension (probably not necessary, and the government has dropped it as a priority)
• No Metro Tunnel 2 (I think it will be done eventually, but not before the SRL opens)
• Still using individual line names
• Frequency of trains still mid
• PTV has changed their name again, because we’re not allowed to stick to a branding for more than a decade

Anything you think is overly optimistic? Overly pessimistic? Things I missed or forgot about?
